Zama and Fujita (1977) reidentified M. melanosticta of Kurata et al. (1971) as M. hexagona (Lacepède). However, we observed only M. melanosticta in the Ogasawara Islands, and we suspect that Kurata et al. were correct in their identification (Ref. 26066). Also Ref. 33390. |
